The towering monument sign serves as the gateway to Piestewa Peak, Phoenix Mountains Park and Recreation Area, and the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area. The monument sign marks the entrance to the diverse desert landscapes within secluded valleys and boasting dozens of miles of multi-use trails.

Sierra Signs also produced wayfinding, trailheads and markings, heat and critter warnings, as well as other information signage.

The entry signs at Piestewa Peak are large concrete and steel structures welded to resemble mountains. The interpretive signs are printed panels attached to steel bases.

For a number of years Sierra Signs has had the privilege of working with many Valley Cities Parks and Recreation Departments, designing, manufacturing and installing signs at nearly every park, aquatic center, recreation center and preserve through the Valley. We adapted many new sign design elements with a textual and artistic explanations of park features and ecological benefits.

Sierra Signs has produced and installed a wide variety of environmentally conscious community signage including park information, rules, natural habitat, wayfinding maps, directional trails, gardens, flora and fauna identification, historic, warning and fun interactive signs..

Sierra Signs has worked in partnership with the City of Mesa Parks and Recreation officials to replace the old city park and facility signage, with signage that coordinates with the City’s updated logo and design standards reidentifying a majority of the more than 200 urban parks throughout the community.

The colorful new signage and graphics are key to defining a friendly, attractive symbol as a consistent identity for rebranding Mesa’s park system.

Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities is a City department that manages and maintains a large urban park system of specialized individual properties—from iconic Mesa landmarks like Pioneer Park to neighborhood playgrounds, community gardens, monuments, skate courts, bike parks, pools and aquatic centers, athletic fields and stadiums—that serve millions of Arizonans and out of town visitors.

Sierra Signs is proud to have been a part of strengthening and clarifying the identities of Mesa’s diverse recreational properties by creating and manufacturing sign types that include regulatory, wayfinding and identification, all with a modern consistent appearance.

Sierra Signs’ multi-year contract with Yavapai Community Colleges included rebranding the campuses at Prescott, Verde Valley and Sedona to increase the colleges branding presence and image. The signs were designed to highlight each colleges resources. The rebranding also included the signage for the Southwest Wine Center Viticulture and Enology winery and estate vineyard.

We installed a variety of signs including monument and building signage, directory and way-finding signs. As well as parking id’s, banners and interior signs.

Sierra Signs has fabricated and installed sports sidewalk, venue signs and interiors for the National Football League (NFL) Super Bowls at Cardinal Stadium in Glendale, and for the Arizona Cardinal’s at their Dining Hall and Training Facility.

Much like puzzle pieces, 4’ x 8’ sheets were precisely placed piece-by-piece to form an expansive and seamless 14’ x 52’ mosaic with Cardinals logo and text accented with red edges for a 3D look.

Sierra Signs stepped up to the plate to deliver a home run for Major League Baseball (MLB) spring training facilities. We manufactured and installed new monument and directional signage at the Cubs’ Stadium at Sloan Park in Mesa. The new signage is highly visible both day and night.

Our sports venue signage has consistently shown our creativity in design, fabrication and installation as exemplified by the gigantic Oakland A’s 15’ LED “A” logo sign at the at Mesa Hohokam Stadium.

Sierra Signs created and installed outdoor amenity and activities signs at Leisure World’s 2,664 home active adult community. The colorful signage includes tennis courts, pickleball, bocce and basketball courts.

In addition, we installed bronze plaques, a custom park bench, and even the new clock in the iconic clock tower.

We installed the 3-D model dinosaur on the exterior of the Arizona Museum of Natural History building. The dinosaur was fabricated by a company from the Midwest and shipped in pieces. We constructed the dinosaur piece by piece and installed it with brackets literally going through the building to the inside of the museum walls. The massive dinosaur appears to be escaping from inside the museum.

Allegiant Healthcare purchased several post-cute, skilled nursing facilities and an independent and an assisted living communitiy at Springdale Village, bringing a new healthcare brand to Arizona.

Sierra Signs was selected to provide large illuminated exterior building signage, digital messaging systems, vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding systems and vehicle graphics to work in harmony to with all facilities and to create a positive environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Sierra Signs produced monument, building, way-finding signage and a special Donor’s Recognition Wall for the new Girl Scout Camp facility at South Mountain.

The Girl Scout overall design package was created to compliment the architecture which incorporated sustainable products.

Sierra Signs manufactured and installed signs at the Riparian Preserve and Park premier educational and recreational resource in Gilbert, Arizona. The signage included water resources, wildlife habitat, educational programs, and recreational opportunities. The signs were created to provide the best interpretative experience for all visitors.

We are currently working with the City of Gilbert to manufacture and install Multi-Use Trail signs along the Western Powerline trail and the Heritage Trail. The signs have a distinctive design and mimic the iconic water tower located in downtown Gilbert.

Sierra Signs produced signage and displays for Valley Metro Rail Stations and parking areas along the Mesa Main Street line to the new terminus at Gilbert Rd. The structures and signage included a variety of identification, information, aesthetics and parking signage.

Sierra Signs created massive concrete and aluminum entry, directory and way-finding sign package for Sun City West Recreation Center. The project required adhering brand and the design standards as the facility expands.

Sierra Signs fabricated and installed what is the “gateway” to Phoenix Gateway Airport, with their new Monument sign, leading to the main terminal, and interior terminal signage.

Sierra Signs has also created and installed signs for Gateway’s developing international aerospace center with aircraft maintenance, testing, and pilot training. We provided unique signage for Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Facility, Mesa’s LaunchPoint Technology Accelerator for entrepreneurs and small companies, and the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences, UND Aerospace facility.

Rockwell Ice Cream Company was inspired by the old fashioned ice cream shops of America. The Rockwell Ice Cream Co. brand image incorporates legacy, history, family and the tradition of ice cream into a vintage look. The owners of the Gilbert San Tan Store wanted an exterior building sign, interior sign and menu board created in a vintage design. The custom interior sign and menu design created an old fashioned immersive aesthetic. We incorporated various elements, including typography, color palate and period looking sign materials to establish an historical feel for their brand, and to bolster their brand equity among consumers.
